Another innovation in wetsuits from Mares: the new 2nd Shell wetsuit is the ideal solution for cold water.

This innovative 6-mm preformed one-piece suit with a rear zip, characterized by a unique build and optimized cut, has been completely redesigned to deliver unparalleled comfort and performance.

Zips at the ankles and construction of Ultrastretch neoprene ensure easy donning, and it is extremely comfortable in all models within the suit line: Available in a men’s cut and She Dives model which offers a personalized cut to better suit the woman’s body. 

A new approach to the use of PU printing exemplifies the graphics; integrating the name of the wetsuit and its thickness allow for easy recognition of the model.  Both wrists feature a non-slip material for better positioning of instruments.

We have not overlooked the safety or protection of the knee area, with PU printed abrasion resistant knee pads.  Also boasting an extremely comfortable and innovative Smart Hood System, combined with the Glideskin cones at the wrists and ankles which ensure ultimate protection during use in cold water. 

The 2nd Shell "system" is very flexible: if used in combination with the 2nd Shell Shorty, this new-concept suit creates a true protective barrier against cold water. A real "second skin" is created, thanks to the Metalite material used in the manufacturing of the 2nd Shell Shorty.  Used in combination, these properties maintain and restore body heat.

The Shorty, like the 2nd Shell, has Glideskin cuffs and ankles, an anti-chafe closure at the neck, and an integrated 0.5-mm hood to create a real defense against cold water.

Combined features and a contemporary new look – silver graphic for the men’s version, white for women - allow divers to use the 2nd Shell Shorty alone if they like; an ideal solution for snorkeling.
